"All we Knew" is me pointing out the fact that everything is connected, and that you know it is. So after living our entire lives watching the earth be ripped in half and destroyed, our connection is being jeopardized. The older generations are supposed to teach us and guide us and I feel like if we follow their lead the earth will continue to suffer.
